I am home from holiday and I’ll be back at the Gris on Monday the 7th. But I will also be performing a house concert at Janet’s on Saturday, 19 April… I hope you’ll come down, and I’ll get to sing some of my nicer selections that I don’t always get to perform while in a pub! “As usual, we will gather at 6:30p.m. for potluck supper; please plan to bring food or drink to share. We provide ice, coffee, tea, soft drinks. Suggested donation is $15, all of which goes directly to the musician. Music starts at 7:30. We will have dessert, coffee/tea at the break. All reservations (even if you told me in person!) are by e-mail at [email protected] and of course ask for directions if needed; please let me know when you know what you are bringing so I can advise those who ask what they should bring. Feel free to pass this e-mail on to anyone you think might be interested, or to post it. ”

I’ll be performing along with “Rye Bread”, and “Stacy Philipps & Co.” at the Branford Folk Music Society for their dinner and a show night – not at the usual church location but at the Italian American Club not far from there. To help out a friend Thomas, I and my Jovial Crew will be playing at Café Nine in New Haven on Saturday, 18 January. It’s a fund raiser to benefit the local St-Patrick Day parade; 21 and older only. We’ll be there around 8 to set up, the show starts around 9 with a band called The Amples, and then we’ll perform for your pleasure! A good time to see us when Essex seems so far away…

My thanks to all of you who came to Gina and Bill’s house concert last night in Wallingford! It was a wonderful setting with such warm people and a terrific concert! The Dunlaps are exemplary hosts, and I have some photos of the evening up in my photo galleries.

I will be playing a house concert at the Wallingford home of Bill and Gina Dunlap on Saturday, 7 December. The doors open at 7 and there is a cover donation requested of 20$ which goes to me… There’ll be refreshments and a good singing crowd, but space is limited. You should reserve your seat by contacting either Gina or Bill at (203) 679-0016 or by e-mail at [email protected], and get directions. This will be a very good setting for some intimate participation of my ballads and prettier songs, few of which I get to do in the bars and stages.

We’re back at our New Haven haunt, the Gryphon Pub at GPSCY.

On Monday 28 October come on down to see me and my mates and celebrate Halloween with us in the historic Griswold Inn. There’ll be songs, laughs, and plenty of spirits! We start a little after 8p and what an evening we’ll have!

Lots of things are coming up… Of course, there’s every Monday night at the Griswold Inn; and Monday the 28th will be the Jovial Crew’s hosting of Halloween at the Gris.

On 19 October I’ll be playing, along with my Jovial Crew, at a private cocktail and seafood party at the Essex Yacht Club.

And on 6 November, a Wednesday, The Jovial crew will return to the Gryphon Pub at GPSCY in New Haven, from 8p onward! It’s always a good time when we’re there!
