Cliff will be away for a couple of weeks getting some R&R… But he’ll return for the start of April! We all had a great and safe St-Pats so now we’re eager for the warmth and longer hours of sunlight!
Winter is almost over! That means St-Patrick’s Day is about upon us! I’ll be singing with my Jovial Crew at the Griswold Inn in Essex that Tuesday, 17 March, from 6:30 until 10:30. You might want to make reservations for dinner now. And imbibe your favourite beverages while singing along!
This past Sunday Cliff joined many musicians in playing a memorial concert for the late and truly great Danny Quinn. If you follow the link you will see photos from that event taken by some of those in attendance.
This coming Saturday the 10th, My Jovial Crew and I are playing at Café Nine (on the corner of State and Crown streets) in New Haven – the objective, to raise funds for the city’s St-Patrick’s Day parade. We’ll arrive to set up around 7:30, the show begins around 9 with the band The Amples and then we’ll do a couple of sets. It’s a bar, so only 21 and older, please. Come on down, all our fans from the New Haven area – this is another opportunity to participate with us on your home turf! Check the flier here for details.
A wonderful holiday season to everyone! And especially a better new year!
I arrived at the Gris last night to find everyone celebrating my birthday – the folks at the Gris uncovered the old photo – poster they used back in the 70s to advertise me on Monday nights during my earliest years there!
And don’t forget to come see my videos – Me in action!
Although I’m still taking it carefully, I’ll be back at the Gris this coming Monday, 6 Oct. I’ll rejoin my band mates and rock the tap room for all of you – looking forward to seeing everyone!
Thank you all for your wonderful and kind thoughts! I am indeed back at work and last night I made it down to the Gris for a quick beer and a song. This all still takes a lot out of me and I have to pace myself. I had been on the list to perform at this weekend’s music festival in Portsmouth, NH… I’m not quite up to that yet, so Jerry Bryant will be taking my place. I think you’ll be seeing more of me in the next few weeks, though!
So today I began to put in half-days at my day job, just easing into it. I am thinking of coming on down to the Gris for a little bit this coming Monday the 22d. Still not yet up to singing a while night but I’m healing up well. Thank you all for your really kind thoughts and encouragement!
