Thank you all for your wonderful and kind thoughts! I am indeed back at work and last night I made it down to the Gris for a quick beer and a song. This all still takes a lot out of me and I have to pace myself. I had been on the list to perform at this weekend’s music festival in Portsmouth, NH… I’m not quite up to that yet, so Jerry Bryant will be taking my place. I think you’ll be seeing more of me in the next few weeks, though!

So today I began to put in half-days at my day job, just easing into it. I am thinking of coming on down to the Gris for a little bit this coming Monday the 22d. Still not yet up to singing a while night but I’m healing up well. Thank you all for your really kind thoughts and encouragement!
I am indeed getting better! I am walking about but it is tiring… I haven’t napped so much since I was a baby! A trip to the mailbox and back is my exercise. Not up to singing for a bit but I miss seeing all of you – thank you all for your good wishes and comments! Joseph has been passing along your thoughts.
I’m home and recovering… It was a little more complicated than expected but it’s good to be home with Sandy and to get caught up on other things. No idea of when I’ll be able to get around just yet but I’ll let you know! Thank you for all of the well wishes!
I’ll be away from my performances for about 6 weeks – I’m having some outpatient surgery and I’ll need the time to fully recover before I begin singing again. But keep an eye out on my page for updates when I have a good idea of when I’ll be back!
In downtown Clinton, CT, at 24 E Main St, is where the old Driftwood Café had been and is now Scottish Dave’s Pub. They’re putting together a local folk scene and I have been asked to take turns with Marc Bernier on the stage – This’ll happen every other Thursday night from 8 to 11, starting this Thursday the 31st of July – come check out their Facebook page! And of course, every Monday at the Griswold Inn!

Every year on the Monday after the Sea Music Festival in Mystic, some friends crawl on down to Essex, if they’re still able to and in the area, to visit me and my Crew, getting up in turn to sing you a song or two in the historic Griswold Inn. Joseph has been coordinating this event for a couple of years now and he tells me that we’ve already some fine performers planning on joining us – we’ll start our usual time but in the back room of the Gris rather than the tap room. They’ll be serving dinner during the first set and if you wish to get a seat you may wish to make a reservation. After dinner the room tends to open up. This is a good chance to hear these wonderful musicians in your own area! Monday, 16 June, 8p until 11-ish, Griswold Inn, Essex, CT.
The boys and I will be rather busy during the month of June, aside from our weekly show at the Griswold Inn. You should come see our schedule and try to see us when we’re closer to your neck of the woods.
I’ll be performing at this year’s Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival on 27 and 28 of September. This is a free event, supported entirely by donations. It is also unique in that it is not held only on the grounds of a single venue but moves around the town a bit. This should always be on your annual list of go-tos, and you’ll see me there as well!
So this Saturday, the 24th of May, some of the boys from The Jovial Crew and I will be playing at O’Rourke’s Pub from 2 to 5. If you’re in the area, you should come on down to say hello and to raise a pint all the while joining us in song. I’d love to see ya!
